Semester B Goals

Let's Do This list notepad from Rifle Paper Co
This is it. My last semester at university before I graduate. It's crazy to me how quickly the time has gone, and semester A went by in a second!
I'm going to really push myself in my last semester to make sure that I make the most of it and get the best grades I can get. University hasn't been an easy ride for me at all, and I would definitely change a few things if I could go back, but I'm going to make sure that I do all that's in my power these last few months to make it as easy and as enjoyable as I can. I've split my goals up into three categories: academic, extra-curricular and planning for the future.

Academic

  • I'm sure this is on the top of every student's list, but I'm going to put in a lot of effort to make sure that I take more effective notes in lectures and write them up as soon as I get home. To go hand-in-hand with this, I'm also going to do my readings as soon as I can rather than put them aside for another day - there's nothing worse than when you let things mount up and have a ridiculous amount to do!
  • I'm starting a module that I'm really excited for this semester - Psychopharmacology. I've heard from many people that it's one of the hardest modules but it interests me so much and I'm determined to do really well in it, regardless of how difficult it is.
  • Another goal is to maintain my good attendance from last semester. Other than authorised-absences for being ill, I maintained 100% attendance from September to December which I'm really proud of! I'm going to make sure I go to everything again this year.
  • And last but not least, revision! I will start my exam revision much earlier than I have done in the past so I know everything off-by-heart. I want to go into my exams feeling confident!

Extra-Curricular

  • I'm part of the Musical Theatre Society at university, and I had so much fun rehearsing and performing for the Winter Showcase. I didn't audition for the proper show this year, but I will still be doing the Summer Showcase, so I'm looking forward to getting back into that and immersing myself into rehearsals again.
  • Alongside my studies and society, I have also been taking part in an award scheme at my university. This award involves me taking part in lots of activities which I've already completed. My last step is to go to an assessment centre and then (if I pass that) I'll be done!

Planning For The Future

  • My process of planning for the future is going to be taken up a notch now that I'll be trying to get a job after May. I'm going to be researching lots of companies and applying for jobs early in the hope that I can secure a job before I finish my exams. That's the goal for most students, isn't it? It will be nice to know that I have a job to go to straight after uni.
  • I'm also going to be working as much as possible in my part-time job alongside my studies to earn as much money as I can. I'd like to put a lot into my savings for somewhere to live once I graduate, but I'd also like to go on a couple of holidays to celebrate the end of uni! Finger's crossed!

Most importantly, my main goal for the rest of my third and final year is

JUST GET THROUGH IT

It's going to be tough, there's no doubt about it, but I'll call it a huge success getting through three hard years with a degree in hand.
