Amsterdam: What I Bought

Flowers in Amsterdam
After writing my last post about what I did in Amsterdam, I thought it would be nice to write another post about what I bought. It's not a real holiday if you don't come home with at least a few souvenirs from your trip, is it? Here's what I got...

Postcards from Amsterdam

After visiting the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum (both of which do not allow you to take photos), I knew I wanted to buy something to remember them buy. As you would expect in a place that's so crammed with tourists, everything was quite expensive! There was nothing that jumped out at me so I decided to just get a few postcards from each place. This meant I could get really cheap souvenirs, but something that actually came from the places I went to. As you can see from the picture I also picked up a normal Amsterdam post card because it really sums up just how pretty the place is!
Sex Confessions from Red Light Secrets

As previously mentioned in this post, Max and I bought ourselves a book of the sex confessions from Red Light Secrets. There's one confession for every day of the year and some of them are so amusing. Not your typical wall calendar, hey!
Bauble from Amsterdam
I've always thought that baubles with place names on it were SO strange, but now I've jumped on the bandwagon! Max and I thought it would be a cool idea to buy a bauble from every new country we go to, so that in the future we can have two Christmas trees - one traditional one, and one travel one that helps us remember where we've been! We're going to write 2017 underneath it as well.
Miami Muse products from & Other Stories
We found a big & Other Stories much to Max's disappointment (sorry Max!). They had SUCH nice things in there, I could've spent an absolute fortune! I found loads of products with the Miami Muse scent and fell in love. I'm quite picky when it comes to smells and I hate quite a lot of perfumes, so you can imagine my joy when I found these! They're so sweet and light. I couldn't resist buying the body spray and the body wash.
Top from & Other StoriesI had to screenshot the website for this one as it was tricky to take a picture of, but I also got this green top from & Other Stories. It was a little pricey but I love it so much and I haven't seen anything like it anywhere else. I knew that if I left it there I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it!
Purse from Stradivarius

I wish this photo did it more justice, but I got the nicest burgundy purse from Stradivarius. It's got loads of space inside for cards and notes, and it's the perfect autumn shade. I can't wait to start using it!
Egg holder from Sissy Boy
Definitely the most random of them all is this egg holder from Sissy Boy! I'd never heard of the shop before but it reminded me of Oliver Bonas but way cheaper! Thank god they don't have the shop over in England because I think I'd buy EVERYTHING!

So, that's everything I bought in Amsterdam. Well, I did also get these sandals from Forever 21, and lots of food of course, but I thought I'd just include the most relevant stuff I hauled back home. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I bought.

  1. Oh wow beautiful purchases. Especially love the purse you got - that colour is gorgeous.

    Love, Kerstin

    1. Thank you!
Ah isn't it so nice! They had them in all different colours :) x

  2. I've never been to Amsterdam but really want to go! I love everything you picked up. Wish they had a Sissy Boy shop in England. It sounds amazing! x
